(updated on 3/2/12)Ignore my face in the photos please as I am sick but I wanted to get this posted.
ALSO in the second photo my X’s are in fact lit up but my hair kind of blocks it…Who: Storm (90s Animated Version) - X-Men
Debuted: HAS NOT DEBUTED YET
Why: Welp, as I mentioned for my other costume I just really love Storm and I wanted to work on another costume of hers because I didn’t want to have just the one in my wardrobe.
How: The wig was bought on Ebay. It came with a lot (A LOT!) of stuffing in the top part because its a drag queen wig so I ended up taking a bunch of it out. The unitard I bought from Discount Dance and I used yellow spandex for the neck, yellow stripe down the front, the wrist bands and around the waist. The shoulder things are made of craft foam..I actually really hate them but it was what I could come up with. I took the sleeves off of the unitard to make my own because the upper part of her costume is puffy. So I made the puffy part our of a silk like fabric and then attached the lower part of the spandex sleeves I cut off to the silk part to form one whole sleeve (I have to cut some of the lower sleeve off so that I can wear my gloves without the weird see though lump you can see on the right photo). The cape is made from a thinner spandex and connects to my shoulder pads/neck. You cant see them all too well but I do have on the boots/boot covers. She wear flat boots so I have a pair that I will be wearing with the white boot covers over them. The covers are made from a thicker spandex much like the unitard. Lastly, the communicators. Those are just small tap lights from Bed Bath and Beyond that i covered in the same yellow cellophane that I used for my Henchman goggles and then I painted the black X and the black borders around it.
